John Stengel, a Marine Biologist turned Mortgage Expert, made Hawaii his home in 2008 when he enrolled in courses at The University of Hawaii at Mānoa. Following graduation, he returned to the mainland to pursue a career in marine microbiology where he researched coral diseases and the natural antibiotic properties of bacteria found on shark skin. Eventually, he so dearly missed the people, culture, and natural beauty of the Hawaiian Islands that he returned once again – for good!

Since his return, John has worked in multiple aspects of the real estate industry in Hawaiʻi.
