David Michael brings a powerful blend of financial expertise, business leadership, and client-first service to every mortgage he handles. A Georgia native now living in Athens with his wife and five children, David holds both a Bachelor’s in Accounting & Finance (Cum Laude) and an MBA with a Finance emphasis.

Before joining Element Mortgage, David worked as an investment analyst at a wealth management firm, helping manage over $6 billion in assets, including estates and trust portfolios. He later founded and grew a multi-location business to over $2 million in annual revenue and a team of over 60 people, overseeing everything from financial operations and accounting to HR and technology. This hands-on leadership experience shaped his approach to lending: diligent, detail-oriented, and always people-focused.

David is passionate about using his financial background to help families build wealth and find the home they love. Known for being easily accessible and committed to going above and beyond, he partners with buyers and agents alike to ensure smooth, timely closings.  David says:
